Please Help My Grandson, Lesley in Japan
Lesley is my young and brilliant fifteen year old grandson born and raised in California until his American father disappeared several years ago.His father nowhere to be found, my daughter, also a Japanese national had no choice than to later file a divorce, foreclosed their modest home, and with limited English levels making her nearly impossible to find work here, she recently returned to our countryside relative’s home in Japan with Lesley. Fortunately, Lesley soon enrolled in a neighborhood Japanese High School, but he does not comprehend Japanese at all, so he must be placed into an international school in Japan to continue his education in his only English language. But did you know that the tuitions and enrollment fees at international schools there in Japan averages $25,000.00 a year, excluding other optional activities and extra curriculum fees are merely impossible for single-mother to supply while restoring there lives and supporting fatherless Lesley. It is also very difficult for a 80 years old senior grandma simply making ends meet over social security checks to support my grandson, so I decided to put away my dignity and embarrassment by placing this column in hope that someone will help us. Yes, I do feel very much like a beggar, but my grandson needs support, and I appreciate your kind help! Since we are probably unable to return your kind support some day, and presume that you cannot apply your donation towards “charitable tax credit”, we kindly ask you for a minimal individual donation. Thank you very much for your time. Ayako.
